Salaries & other benefits
The salary for these posts per annum is determined by your grade and location of your office.
Current pay scales are:
Officer Intelligence Analyst
£22,027 - £28,510 London
£19,043 - £24,652 elsewhere
Higher Officer Intelligence Analyst
Higher Officer Team Leader
£27,063 - £34,877 London
£23,656 - £30,663 elsewhere
Starting salaries for successful applicants will normally be at the minimum of each range, however a higher starting salary may be available to exceptional candidates. You will receive an annual pay increase according to your performance.
A Reserve List will be created for these positions that may be used to fill possible vacancies.
Pension
All new appointments are normally pensionable from the outset. You will usually be able to choose between two Civil Service Pension arrangements:
- Premium, a final salary occupational pension scheme with a 3.5% member contribution rate.
- Partnership Pension Account, a stakeholder pension with an employer contribution based on your age. You do not have to contribute, but if you do, we, as your employer will match your contributions up to 3% of pensionable pay.

Leave
You will have an annual leave allowance of 22 days rising to 25 days after 12 months’ service and to 30 days after 10 years’ service. In addition you will receive:
- Public holidays and an additional 2.5 privilege days a year
- Maternity and paternity leave where appropriate
- Special leave in the case of certain urgent family circumstances.
